Composite Vs. Amalgam Fillings
At Smiles of Chesapeake, we offer tooth-colored composite fillings. These differ from amalgam (or “silver”) fillings because they do not impact the aesthetics of your smile. Both options help preserve and protect the natural structure of your teeth. Dr. Moreno will remove any decay from within your tooth before filling it with the composite to prevent further decay and protect the remainder of the tooth.
Root Canal Therapy
When your tooth becomes infected all the way to the root, Dr. Moreno will need to perform root canal therapy to get rid of the pain. This treatment requires the dentist to gently clean out and disinfect the pulp of the tooth and fill it with a special sealing material. The sealer we use is biocompatible, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. This makes for faster healing and a strong protective seal against bacteria. CEREC Same-Day Restorations
Our CEREC technology allows Dr. Moreno to custom-design, mill, and place your crown in just one appointment. CEREC enhances the experience for patients in need of a crown, bridge, inlay, or onlay. Impressions are taken by the dentist using our digital scanner, and will then be used to create a restoration that looks and feels natural.
Partial & Full Dentures
If you have lost one or multiple teeth, we offer dentures to restore the function and aesthetics of your smile. Traditional partial dentures are held in place with a wireframe that attaches to your surrounding teeth, giving you a complete smile and enhanced confidence.
